⚡️ Ring Up a Product as a Category
If a product is not entered into the system, you can ring it up under a category instead of a specific product. This ensures that sales reporting remains accurate, even for unlisted items.
Steps to Ring Up a Product as a Category:
1. Navigate to the Register
On the Quickvee home screen, tap Register to open the sales interface.
2. Enter the Amount
Use the number pad to enter the price of the product.
3. Select a Category
From the list of available categories, tap the one that best fits the product you are ringing up.
4. Select Tax Option
A prompt will appear asking you to confirm the applicable tax for the product. Tap Done to proceed.
5. Add to Cart
The item will now be added to the cart with:
- The entered price.
- The selected category displayed as the product name.
By following these steps, you can efficiently ring up items that are not specifically listed in your inventory while maintaining accurate category-level reporting.
