📦 Perform a Stocktake in Quickvee

A stocktake is the process of manually counting all products on-hand to ensure that your system’s inventory records match what’s physically in-store. It’s typically done on a regular basis—monthly, quarterly, or annually—and helps identify discrepancies, shrinkage, or stock errors.

Here’s how to perform a stocktake using the Quickvee POS system:

Step 1: Access Stocktake

1. From the Lock Screen, enter your 4-digit PIN access code.

2. Tap Inventory from the Quickvee Home Screen.

3. Tap the scroll icon to open the extended menu.

4. Tap Stocktake.

Step 2: Start a New Stocktake

5. Tap the + icon to begin a new stocktake session.

6. Search for a product by typing the name or scanning its UPC.

7. Enter the new quantity on-hand for that product.

8. Repeat the process for each item you are including in the stocktake.

Step 3: Save & Review

9. Once all products are updated, tap Done.

10. Review all changes for accuracy.

11. Tap Save to complete the stocktake or Save as Draft to return to it later.

12. Tap OK to finish, or View Report to see details.

Step 4: Review & Share Report

1. The report will show:

2. Product name

3. Old and new quantities

4. Discrepancy in quantity

5. Discrepancy cost

6. Product UPCs

Total inventory change (in units and dollar amount)

13. Tap Email, enter the recipient’s email, and tap Send.

14. Or, tap Print to print a physical copy of the stocktake.

Your inventory data is now updated and will reflect in inventory reports moving forward.
